Licaps® capsules are two-piece hard capsules specially designed for secure containment of liquids and semi-solids. Using Capsugel’s proprietary Fusion Technology™ – a series of cutting-edge advancements in capsule filling, sealing and final product inspection – Licaps® capsules deliver strong protection for nutritional ingredients. Additionally, concepts can be developed which include unique combinations of nutritional ingredients and even products that require multi-phase release or targeted release profiles. For example, some concepts utilize Capsugel’s DUOCAP® “2-in-1” capsule-in-capsule technology and others use liquid beadlets in capsules as novel ways to combine ingredients.
Market surveys consistently demonstrate that Licaps® product concepts are preferred by consumers over other oral dosage forms and can help mask unpleasant tastes and odors of ingredients. Furthermore, Licaps® product concepts are able to meet vegetarian and clean-labeling preferences, are absent of gluten and other allergens, and are Kosher and Halal certified.
